This is from the Swedish movie Sunes Sommar. How I came accross it is irrelevant. However, who knew that in Sweden donut holes are called something deemed racist. It was great of the Harlem Globetrotters to go and try and educate the Swedish people, they weren't just good for solving crime on Scooby Doo!
Keke and I didnt realize we had free cable until a week ago. We have lived in our place for ten months. So sitting in and making up for lost time with The Lost Boys! The Two Corey's is amazing, thought its hard to top the good old days...
This song isn't Classic New Romantic.... I think its just New Romantic... I still haven't figured out how they classify things. Then again, I would say its a Classic. It reminds me of a fun times and having a crush...
This long weekend was more of the same, by which I mean, AWESOME!
There was a lot of this
and this
with lots of this
and there was plenty of this
I love long weekends!
I am going to get season tickets for Toronto FC, seriously it is the most fun! I can feel my Welsh blood perk up and I can just only imagine what a whole season of cheering would do for my complexion, haha!
I found this when I was internet stalking my secret crush, Edward Norton. I saw him in Yorkville at the start of the summer, and he is cute. Very well spoken in interviews, and I love that he is helping out this cause- it seems like an amazing opportunity.
I remember buying the Mama Said album by Lenny Kravitz and being led to believe that all love and break ups were that emotionally tragic. I was a very naive kid who thought high school was like Sweet Valley High, too. Anyways, Lenny Kravitz clothes were very flamboyent, no wonder I liked him, he dressed like the crazy aunt I always wanted.
Anyways, the reason why this video is of importance is that back when it was released it garnered the label "Classic New Romantic" by MTV. Frankly, I think this is some sort of bullshit type of classification that MTV came up with on their own. I fucking love it. Like what the shit is "Classic New Romantic"? I am not going to rest until I find all of the videos that MTV gave this label. If you know of any others please suggest. I already know about the Jan Hammer Crockett's Theme, so move along.
It was Lauren's bday party last night. So me, Nicole, and Donna made shirts to spell out her name to show our love. Each one was infused with a different inspirational mood. I think mine is sort of Ralph Lauren, Laura Ashley, eight year old girl. You know how we roll!
I have known Sean since I was about 10 (maybe earlier?). Our moms worked together so we attended company picinics and also went to Camp Southwind together. His older sister babysat me when I was younger and then later in life babysat me when I got too drunk at the bar up in Whistler, where we both lived for a time.
Sean comes out to Toronto all the time for work, and always cheers me up, mostly because he is never in a bad mood and is so happy-go-lucky. When we were in high school Sean and his friends, for their grad prank, dug a hole in the front yard of our school and put a volkswagen bus in the whole and poured in cement. It was quite a coo.
This last Sunday I went to the Roger's Picnic as Keke's date. I hope my ladymate never gets a boyfriend, or my social life is screwed. We picked up Lana once there, and danced our effin pants off for The Roots- de la Soul- Lupe set at the end of the night. Then we joined a bike gang and hung out at 7 eleven. Sunday's in parks seem to be a trend lately! I love it!
